Adbhut Designs & Innovations is an interdisciplinary design and architectural practice working across public spaces, heritage conservation, and cultural infrastructure. Our work engages deeply with history, context, and community to shape environments where the past and present coexist with purpose and dignity.

From restoring historic landmarks to reimagining civic spaces, we approach every project with research, sensitivity, and long-term public value at its core.

Every project begins at Ādi (आदि) — the origin — understood not as something new, but as a continuation. Design becomes a bridge across time, with architecture acting as a dialogue between history, people, and place.

About the Practice

Adbhut Designs & Innovations is a research-driven architectural and design studio dedicated to the conservation of heritage structures and the creation of meaningful public spaces. Our practice spans restoration, public architecture, placemaking, and cultural installations, guided by the belief that design must be rooted in context and collective memory.

We work closely with government bodies, institutions, and communities to ensure that historic environments remain active, accessible, and relevant—without compromising their architectural and cultural integrity.

Our approach balances tradition with contemporary design thinking, creating spaces that are functional, inclusive, and enduring.

Practice Areas

Restoration & Conservation -

Restoration and conservation form the foundation of our practice. We approach heritage structures with care, research, and respect—addressing decay while preserving authenticity.
Our work focuses on safeguarding architectural integrity, cultural significance, and material history, ensuring that heritage sites continue to serve public life meaningfully.

Ram Kee Paidi 2021, Ayodhya

Concept: As Ayodhya evolves, Ram Ki Paidi remains a site of profound cultural and spiritual importance, particularly as the setting for the annual Deepotsav celebrations. This restoration project sought to preserve the historic character of the ghats while strengthening their resilience for future use.

Public Art & Spatial Expression +

Aesthetics, in our work, is not ornamentation, it is meaning made visible. Through material, colour, form, and scale, we shape environments that resonate emotionally and culturally.

Haridwar Mural Festival

Curated by Meenakshi Payal, the Haridwar Mural Festival brought contemporary public art into one of India’s most sacred cities. Developed in collaboration with Namami Gange under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, the project transformed key urban landmarks while respecting Haridwar’s spiritual ethos.

Public Realm & Cultural Landmarks +

Placemaking transforms public environments into spaces of identity and belonging. Our sculptural and spatial interventions anchor meaning within the urban fabric.

Garuda Prayagraj

A monumental sculpture reflecting devotion, craftsmanship, and cultural symbolism. Every detail, from posture to ornamentation, was designed to honour heritage while establishing a contemporary civic landmark.

Urban Nodes & Civic Markers +

Roundabouts are treated as civic thresholds rather than traffic utilities. Through sculpture, landscaping, and form, we transform them into visual anchors.

Natraja Prayagraj

Symbolising the cosmic dance of creation and transformation, this sculpture blends traditional iconography with modern engineering, creating a space for pause and reflection within the urban flow.

Cultural Landscapes & Public Gardens +

Parks are designed as shared landscapes—where ecology, community, and culture intersect.

Jyotirmay Bharat, Prayagraj

This installation interprets the twelve Jyotirlingas through sandstone walls inscribed with sacred shlokas, centred around a marble Jyotirlinga symbolising cosmic energy. The project aligns spiritual narrative with spatial experience, reinforcing Prayagraj’s identity as a sacred convergence point.

Large-Scale Cultural Interventions +

84 Pillars of Faith

Representing the 84 lakh yonis, this installation reflects the diversity of existence within Hindu philosophy. Divided into four experiential zones, the project invites contemplation on life, consciousness, and cosmic interconnectedness. Inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, it stands as both public art and spiritual landmark.

Interpretation, Museums & Experiential Environments +

We design interpretive environments that translate history and culture into immersive, accessible narratives, combining spatial design, digital media, and storytelling.
